Chairman Judge Alan Mahon

Judge Alan Mahon

This week at the Tribunal

Judge Alan Mahon It is rare in the operation of his everyday activities that the Chairman loses his cool.Generally, he’s a cool customer. When a witness deliberately avoids answering the question, Alan will give him one or two opportunities to answer before getting stuck in. He may rephrase the question, probe, insist. At times even but-heads to get the answer the inquiry must.

If Tribunal counsel, Des O’Neill is a scalpel then Mahon himself is a buzz-saw, relentless.

Des Gets a Roastin’

Posted by citizenjon on November 23, 2007

Des Richardson leaving the mahon tribunal I stopped into the Tribunal briefly today, Thursday. Bertie’s ex-advisor, Des Richardson, was questioned by Des O’Neill. Back in the day Richardson ran a ghost company: “with no direcor, no secretary, no returns, no corporation tax and no documents.” stated Tribunal counsel. The Chairman of the Tribunal Judge Alan Mahon described the company, called Wildover, as “Des Richardson wearing a different hat.” Mr. R. stated it was to give anonymity to Mr. Ahern’s transactions.
